A. C. Illusions also designs and creates sinks, countertops, tubs, shower walls, outdoor kitchens, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, custom and abstract verticals.
For stone tone stains, we utilize by preference "Kemiko". This is due to its UV resistance, durability, penetration and visual depth deception. The marbling effect of this particular product really brings out the skill of your concrete finisher. Bringing to light every swirl, arc, flow and imperfection, drawing it all together in a collage of improbability, but creating a wonderful, unique world unto itself.
With the varieties of stains, dye and acrylics available on the market (some with excellent UV resistance), and with the thought of fine polished concrete, your pallete is limitless. Inclusions on a vertical or horizontal surface can be absolutely stunning and enhances custom motifs, logos and decor. Vertical scenes can give you the impression of walking into a different time, place or realm.
If you have preferences on particular products( stains, dyes, sealers, etc...) or questions concerning such, we're happy to consult with you on the pros and cons of each.
Some acid stains that are not durable enough for foot traffic are quite fine for vertical applications and give a greater degree of color & shade range, so don't be afraid to experiment with YOUR ideas and dreams.
